Privacy policy

darji (darji.pro) is responsible for your data when you use this site. Write to hello@darji.pro about anything on this page.

• The free resume checker. The file you drop is read in memory on our server to build your report, then discarded. It is not saved, logged or sent to an AI model.
• Tailoring, job match, ATS score, cover letters and application answers. When you run one of these, your resume, the career context and guideline from your profile, and the job description are sent to our server and passed to Anthropic (the maker of Claude), which generates the result. We don't store them after the response is sent.
• In-depth research (when it is available). The company name and job title are sent to Tavily, a web search service, to research the employer. Your resume is not.
• Downloads. PDF and Word files are built on our server from the text you are downloading, in a temporary folder that is deleted straight away.
• The waitlist. If you join it, your email address is kept with Resend, our email provider, so we can tell you when darji is ready. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
• The visa sponsor check runs entirely in your browser against the Home Office register. The job description is not sent anywhere for it.

We process this to provide the service you ask for (contract), and for the waitlist, because you asked us to (consent). We have no ads, sell nothing to anyone, and run no tracking or analytics cookies.

Only the providers that do the work for us, each under its own terms, and only for that work:

• Anthropic, for the AI features. Its commercial terms don't let it train its models on what we send. Anthropic's privacy policy.
• Tavily, for In-depth research (company name and job title only).
• Resend, for waitlist emails.
• Our hosting provider, which runs the servers your requests pass through.

Some of these providers are outside the UK; where they are, they process data under safeguards recognised by UK data protection law.

Your profile, base resume, tailored resumes, cover letters, the tracker and your settings are saved in your browser's storage on this device, not on our servers. So is the last file you checked with the free checker (until you check another) and a resume you carry from the checker into tailoring (for up to a day, or a week if you joined the waitlist). On a shared computer, clear this site's data in your browser settings when you finish. Clearing it deletes everything darji saved, and we can't recover it.

Resumes, job descriptions and results: not kept on our servers beyond the request. Waitlist email addresses: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Our providers keep request data for their own limited periods, set out in their policies.

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to how we use it. Write to hello@darji.pro. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

darji is for people aged 16 and over.

When this policy changes, we update it here and change the date at the top. If a change affects how your data is used, we'll say so on the site.
